General Information

The H.O. Hotel is a beautiful colonial building that dates back to the XIX century. Its facade, interiors and design in general, have made it earn the title of historic monument in the city.

The hotel has 33 rooms distributed in two floors. The hotel belonged to a family of Spaniards that designed it and lived in it for some time. They decided to go back to their country and were compelled to sell the hotel to a distinguished family from Yucatan that ever since have managed it as a hotel.

The hotel is located in the Heart of the historic center in the city of Merida. The “Zocalo”, where the cathedral, government palace, municipal palace and the Macay Museum are located, is just one block from the hotel.

Most of the bank offices are located one block or less from the hotel. The crafts market is located one and a half blocks away from the hotel. The main market, the San Benito market is located two and a half blocks away from the hotel. The main convents and buildings from downtown surround the hotel. Paseo Montejo, the most important avenue in the city is 9 blocks away. The bust station to Progreso is a few steps away from the hotel, and the ADO CAME bus station, the most important transportation network in the southeast, is 4 blocks away from the hotel.

Recreation's Information

Chichen Itza: the complex covers around 15 km2 and its constructions reveal different styles with symmetric arches that show different stages in its evolution.
Standing out is the castle dedicated to the Kukulkan castle, ball game, the warrior temple, snail and the observatory.

Uxmal-Kabah: It’s one of the master pieces of the prehispanic architecture from Yucatan. Within its constructions are: the dwarf house, the nun square, the governor palace. In addition to Uxmal, the city of Kabah is also visited.

Uxmal light and sound: Uxmal presents a light and sound spectacle every day considered one of the best worldwide, narrating the daily activities of the Maya.

Celestun: You’ll find extensive beaches, many of them virgins and with lots of coconut palm trees, and excellent seafood. The main attractions are the great number of flamencos that paint the water pink and may be observed at a very short distance on a motor boat.

City Tour: In this panoramic ride, you’ll watch beautiful constructions like the Grand Plaza, the San Idelfonso Cathedral, the government palace, the Montejo house, the Municipal palace, and the Nuns church.
